Quality Defined by Patient Satisfaction Survey Results
Dickson-Diveley Orthopaedics conducts patient satisfaction surveys to measure the quality of service we deliver. The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality believes patient satisfaction surveys may help advance the improvement of care in a physician practice by helping physicians pinpoint areas for improvement and by providing the opportunity to benchmark a practice’s quality of care.
We track responses to the patient satisfaction surveys on an ongoing basis through Press Ganey Associates Inc. The survey offers each patient the chance to rate his or her experience with our clinic and interactions with our physicians and staff members. Specifically, the survey asks patients:
- How likely are you to recommend the practice to family and friends?
- How likely are you to recommend the physician to family and friends?
The percentage of patients who are “very likely” and “likely” to recommend our practice and physicians determine our overall success. The graph below shows patients’ responses to the “likely to recommend” questions for the most recent 12-month reporting period:
