
Scott Ellsworth, M.D.
Scott Ellsworth, M.D., is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in shoulder and elbow surgery. He joined Dickson-Diveley Orthopaedics in August 2019.
Having lived in several areas of the United States during his childhood and education, he is thrilled to call Kansas City home again. After earning his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston in 2013, he completed his orthopedic surgery internship and residency at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He received fellowship training in shoulder and elbow surgery at Washington University in St. Louis before returning to the Kansas City area. Throughout this time, he co-authored several articles for peer-reviewed publications and has presented research regionally and nationally.
For athletes, non-athletes and individuals who have experienced a work-related injury, Dr. Ellsworth’s practice focuses on diagnosis and treatment of shoulder and elbow conditions:
- Shoulder arthroscopy

- Total shoulder arthroplasty (also known as total shoulder replacement) – primary and reverse

Dr. Ellsworth is a proud family man who enjoys spending his free time with his wife and four children. He also loves exercising, weightlifting and traveling. He is conversant in Dutch after spending two years as a missionary in the Netherlands during college at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.
