Charles E. Rhoades, M.D., Dr. Rhoades graduated from the University of Kansas Medical School (KUMC) in 1978, did an internship at KUMC in Internal Medicine. He completed a residency in Orthopaedic Surgey at the University of Kansas and a Fellowship in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery from the University of California-San Diego. He joined the group in July 1984.

Dr. Rhoades has served as President of the group from 1986 to the present. Physician CV

Steven T. Joyce, M.D., a University of Kansas Medical School and D&D graduate. Joined the firm in 1978. Physician CV
Thomas P. Phillips, M.D., a St. Louis University Medical School and D&D graduate with a hand fellowship. Joined the firm in 1978. Physician CV
Danny Gurba, M.D., a University of Kansas School of Medicine graduate, received his orthopaedic training in the University of Missouri-Kansas City Affiliated Program. After a fellowship in Joint Revision Surgery with Richard Rothman in Philadelphia he joined the firm in January 1985. Physician CV
Mark Bernhardt, M.D., a University of Kansas School of Medicine graduate, took his orthopaedic training at St. Francis Hospital, Wichita, Kansas, and did a Spine Fellowship at Harvard Medical School. He joined the firm in January 1990. Physician CV Personal Profile
Lowry Jones, Jr. M.D. Graduated from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City, Kansas, and completed his orthopaedic residency at the University of Missouri -Kansas City. Joined the Midwest Orthopaedic in 1985. The Midwest Orthopaedic Clinic joined the Dickson-Diveley Clinic in 1993. Physician CV
Robert C. Gardiner, M.D. Dr. Gardiner graduated from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City, Kansas, and completed his orthopaedic residency at the University of Missouri -Kansas City. He did a Total Joint Fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He joined the group in 1992. Physician CV
Timothy Badwey M.D. Dr. Badwey graduated from Tulane University School of Medicine and completed his residency in orthopaedics at the University of Kansas School of Medicine - Wichita/St. Francis. He completed a fellowship in Foot and Ankle Surgery at the Campbell Clinic in Memphis, Tennessee. Physician CV
Stanley Bowling M.D. joined the group in August of 1999. He is a graduate of the University of Nebraska Omaha Orthopaedic Program. Physician CV
Brian J. Divelbiss, M.D. joined the Clinic in the August of 2001. Dr. Divellbiss completed his orthpaedic residency at the Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA, and a Fellowship in Hand Surgery at the University of Iowa, Iowa City. Physician CV
Thomas L. Shriwise, M.D. Dr. Shriwise joined the Clinic in August of 2003. He graduated from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City, Kansas, and completed his orthopaedic residency at the University of Missouri -Kansas City. He completed a Fellowship at the University of Toronto in Arthroscopic and Reconstructive Surgery in 1987. Physician CV

Lan Fotopoulos, M.D. Dr. Fotopoulos joined the clinic in September, 2004. He is the first Physiatrist to join the Clinic. He graduated from medical school at the University of Missouri at Kansas City in 1992. He honorably served his country in the United States Navy as Lieutenant Commander, Medical Corps, United States Navy, 1997-2000. He completed a residency in Physical Medicine and Physiatry at the University of Kansas in 2003 and a Fellowship in Musculoskeletal Medicine and Invasive Spine Procedures at Washington University, St. Louis Missouri August 2003 through July 2004. R. Lance Snyder Dr. Snyder joined the group in August of 2005. A native of oklahoma, Dr. Snyder graduated from the University of Kansas and completed medical school at University of Oklahoma College of Medicine . He completed two fellowships: Spine Surgery at the University of Southern California Center for Orthopaedic Spinal Surgery and Sports Medicine at the University of Colorado . Physician CV
Joshua J. Niemann, M.D. Dr. Niemann graduated from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska, and completed his orthopaedic residency at the University of Missouri -Kansas City. He did a Trauma Fellowship at Case Western Reserve University. He joined the group in 2008.Physician CV
Alicia Hillman, M.D. Dr. Hillman joined the clinic in July 2008.  A 2003 graduate of the University of Missouri at Kansas City School of Medicine, Dr. Hillman completed residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester Minnesota from 2003-2007.  She completed Fellowship training in Interventional Spine and Musculoskeletal Medicine from 2003-2004 at Georgia Pain Physicians, Marietta Georgia.Physician CV

Physicians Assistants
Dickson Diveley is proud of our team of physician assistants. Our physician assistants are all licensed health care providers with special clinical training in Orthopaedic Injuries. They provide access to orthopaedic care, access to the surgeons, and entry to the clinic on a daily basis.
