Orthopaedic Medicine is the medical, physical, and surgical treatment
of disorders of the bones and joints and their associated structures.
The Clinic is the largest and oldest orthopaedic clinic in Kansas
City. We have been providing orthopaedic care to the patients of
the Midwest since 1923. The Clinic has specialists in Sports Medicine,
Hand Surgery, Spinal Surgery, Total Joint Replacement, Foot Surgery,
and Trauma.

R. Lance Snyder Dr. Snyder joined the group in August of 2005. A native of Oklahoma, Dr. Snyder graduated from the University of Kansas and completed medical school at

Orthopaedic Spinal Surgery
and Sports Medicine at

Lan Fotopoulos, M.D. Dr. Fotopoulos joined the clinic in September, 2004. He is the first Physiatrist to join the Clinic. He graduated from medical school at the University of Missouri at Kansas City in 1992. He honorably served his country in the United States Navy as
Lieutenant Commander, Medical Corps, United States Navy, 1997-2000. He completed a residency in Physical Medicine and Physiatry at the University of Kansas in 2003 and a Fellowship in Musculoskeletal Medicine and Invasive Spine Procedures at
Washington University, St. Louis Missouri

Thomas L. Shriwise, M.D. Dr. Shriwise joined the Clinic in
August of 2003. He graduated from the University
of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City, Kansas, and completed
his orthopaedic residency at the University of Missouri -Kansas City. He completed a Fellowship at the University of Toronto in Arthroscopic and Reconstructive Surgery in 1987. Physician CV |
